Hi All. Just finished my scratch built lap steel. Has over wound single coil and brushed aluminum hardware.

Sorry Paul, I looked in my string stash, but no luck.

Hi Paul,

I looked online, only full C6 set I could find was on Ebay for $16.49 plus shipping for two 8 string sets (15, 18, 22p, 24w, 30w, 36w, 42w, 54w)...no 6 string C6 sets on there.

I have a box of assorted strings in the shop given to me by a local music store. I will take a look to see if I have some that would create a set and get back later.

I'm looking for a set of C6 lap steel strings (reasonably priced) for my 4th lap steel.  I will be willing to pay $10.00 for the set.  The Music shop here just doesn't have a big calling for such an item. Anyone have any extra set?

Send me an email at whittlersworld@yahoo.com and I'll Paypal you the cost plus shipping.

Pic below is my nearly-finished La Macha Guapa (translates from Spanish to "Beautiful Blonde Woman". Birdseye maple neck and fins with walnut slats in between. Maple fretboard with 24 frets, 24.75 inch scale. Zebra humbucker at neck (8.2K) and a custom Downunder pickup from Ted Crocker at the bridge. Nut and bridge are heavy guage aluminum. The tele-style control plate and humbucker ring are walnut. Plate under the Downunder pup is maple. Volume & tone pots are 500K with a .22uF tone bleed cap, and a three-way toggle switch. Bridge is grounded from under center screw.

All she needs is eight more string ferrules (two more on top and six on back) and then she get's her first set of strings. Mmmmm.
