Hello, my name is Grayling Pingel and I'm from northern Wisconsin. Presently working on the one man band situation and interested in all sorts of instrument. I'll probably be building one of these CBG's real soon. Cool site!

Hello, my name is Terry Harris and I live outside of a little town named Kernville, CA. Mostly I build ukuleles but a few other instruments as well. I'm at about 25 ukes so far and I'm about to start on the cigar box instruments. I'll have to change my mind set tho and learn how to build funky, ha ha!!  Gonna hit some yard sales and the local swap meet tomorrow to start scrounging. I think this is going to be really fun and the folks here are nice, helpful and friendly. Looking forward to being part of this community!

I really appreciate the effort it takes to make a site like this work!

Hey y'all - my name is Steve Gray.  I'm in Austin, Arkansas.  I'm getting my first 3-string CBG tomorrow.  I saw Richard Johnston play one in Memphis a few years ago but really got hooked in Clarksdale, MS last month at the Juke Joint Festival.

I have to admit I'm buying this first CBG, but I'll be building them from here on out.  I have built my own stomp box just in the last couple of days and I'm pretty pleased with the way it sounds, but I still have some tinkering to do with the cymbal sound.

Is it just me?  Since I started looking into building a CBG I have started to view almost every piece of junk as potential building material...!  I'm worried that I am going to have to build a bigger shop...

Hello, my name is Bobby O'Neal. I'm originally from Gilroy, California but I've been living near Memphis, Tennessee for the last couple of years.  I'm a singer/songwriter and have been playing and performing for about 30 years.  But I recently discovered CBG and built one so I'm a newby.

Hi my name is Tom. My first box came out pretty nice. The woodvale box and here are a couple other projects I have going.

G'day, I'm Cliff from FNQ Australia. Guitar tragic. I have been playing for 42 years now & I will play along with anything. Multiple interests, (besides guitars & those other shapely objects that start with letter G) Woodwork as a hobby & electronics as a trade work well with electric guitars & amplifiers. I got mildly interested in 4 string instruments like bass guitars & ukuleles & then, about 4 months ago while at a party, I broke a couple of the little strings (playing too hard) on my acoustic guitar. The challenge to find a way to keep playing with only 4 stings was GOOD. It was so good that when I went to the New Years Eve party I took a Strat with only the 4 bass stings on it. As long as you stick with barre chords you can play major, minor, 7th & 9th chords up & down the neck. So now I want to build a 25.5" scale CBG with Tele pickups & string it with the 4 bass stings of a regular 6 string... Twanger.

Hello name is Jeff, I live in Michigan. I have built a few electric guitars and now working on CBG. It is a 4 string fretted with mag and piezio pick ups. Will post pictures as soon as I figure this all out. The picture is my 1936 regal lap steel that Johnny Winter signed for me last year. Typing is terrible and slow for me. Hi to all.
