I am starting a hour glass MD and I am looking for a good cheap way to make a beading iron any ideas?

The knobs on my el cheapo tuners got broken off and lost, so I made some from wood. Got the wood from a cheap clothes hanger and the part that the pants hang on was just about the right size to cut into pieces, round a bit and drill an undersize hole and press on the shaft. It had a sort of flat bar instead of the round bar most pants haners have. I gotta get some pictures!

opps, my description didnt show. I sanded the head with 80 grit sand paper and dipped it in stain. When dry, i dipped it in lacquer.

BEST TIP EVER.........have you had a problem getting that glue bottle or tung oil bottle open (cause it is glued shut)  Got this tip from Rodney ...  "Wrap some of that white teflon pipe thread tape around the lid of that bottle so some folds over to the inside, you will be able to open it next week or next month."
