Comment by David Johnson on September 2, 2012 at 10:32pm I think it gives a little more volume to the 1st & middle string this way, and the drone isn't as "in your face" when strumming. Kind of mellows the bass string. I had done a few with the trimmed side by sides and thought the middle string was weak and the bass, overpowering. When the epoxy sets, I level it with the belt sander. Then a brass or bone bridge, right over the middle.
Comment by Randy S. Bretz on September 2, 2012 at 6:29am did it effect any sound with one on top of the other like that, when use the smaller piezo disc`s like that i cut the edges so their flushed up to each other.
