Awesome, I like that tight waist line. You are deep into history :-) The shape was developped by Johann Georg Stauffer (1778-1853).  One of his employees, C.F. Martin, later founded Martin guitars in the U.S. and used the machine heads which his former boss had developped. Please comment on the sound (the Viennese shape was described as being "war, full and sonorous")

Holly cow, I think I'm in Lap Steel Heaven. This is a beauty. Photo after photo today of lap steels. Wow, I love it!
