Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ
My latest project. The body is 26 gauge sheet metal. The neck is hard Maple with a Walnut fret board.

It has quickly become my daily player. The action from the nut is just high enough to use a slide without banging frets, but low enough to allow easy fretting. I'm liking it.
That sure has the nice rezo sound Tom, great job!
Here is a link to an audio clip of the metal body resonator. I recorded it using a Yeti USB mic.
Metal Body Resonator
I'm away from home at the moment, but will record a sample and post it soon.
The Metal Body sounds just like you would expect. It is a biscuit resonator so the strings produce a sharp, distinct tone. It is noticeably more metallic sounding than my wooden biscuit resonator. I've compared the sound to some on line metal body resonators and the sound is very similar. I want to add a Piezo pickup to see how it sounds when amplified. I will continue "tweaking" for several weeks as I get it dialed int.
Thanks for posting a comment.
