Metal Body Resonator

My latest project. The body is 26 gauge sheet metal. The neck is hard Maple with a Walnut fret board.

Thanks, Jim.

It has quickly become my daily player. The action from the nut is  just high enough  to  use a slide without banging frets, but low  enough to allow  easy fretting. I'm  liking it.

Hi Darryl.

The Metal Body sounds just like you would expect. It is a biscuit resonator so the strings produce a sharp, distinct tone. It is noticeably more metallic sounding than my wooden biscuit resonator. I've compared the sound to some on line metal body resonators and the sound is very similar. I want to add a Piezo pickup to see how it sounds when amplified. I will continue "tweaking" for several weeks as I get it dialed int.
