http://www.handmademusicclubhouse.com/video/bone-piezo-bridge-sound...   here`s a short sound check of the first one i made. Now it`s one of my signture bone pickups and have made alot since that first one.

It`s cow bone. I cut the piece from a length of cleaned marrow bone. Then i carved out a chamber on the underside. There i hot glue in a cut piezo disc [ oblong shape to fit the chamber shape ]. Yes the saddle is carved into the top, so there`s about a 1/16" of bone left between the piezo and the saddle. These are hard to make but sound soooooo good !!!!!

Ok, I would like to know:

  1. What kind of bone is that?
  2. Did you cut off the bottom so that there are two rims of bone against the soundboard?
  3. Do I see right, that you shaped the top of the bone to have a ridge?

Wow that bridge looks great on a black box and those exotic blackwood end caps really set that bridge off. Now for the big question, how`s it sound?
