Okay. But you've got good experience without battery on a piezo?
Sorry Jonas, I'm unfamiliar with that so I have no idea about a battery.
Yes Jonas, this is the correct wiring diagram. You can leave out the tone control if you don't need it. Good luck!
I’ve got a Gibson J45 standard fitted with the L.R.Baggs Element. But! I so deeply want to install a L.R. Baggs M1 Soundhole pickup as well.
My dream is to install it with a electric guitar set-up with volume knobs and a 3 way switch. (A bit like the EJ-160)
I dream of having different sounds out of 1 guitar and make the guitar look super sweet and vintage.
Can this be done?
Kyle, hope this helps
Hi Kyle. This is a different circuit, but it does show how to to wire a Fender 3 way with 2 pups
Hi Andrew. No problem using this for 2 piezos. Yes, tone has little effect and you can just leave it out of this circuit. Also, with just piezos you don't need the string ground. If you follow this circuit everything will be grounded properly.
Hi Ted, I've recently joined am on my first build - a CG Uke. I am keen to wire up a couple of Piezos in the box with a 3-way selector. This circuit looks to be exactly what I need, substituting the second piezo for the Mag Pup. Would this be a simple swap? I read elsewhere that the tone pot has little or no effect on Piezos - coulld this simply be removed from the circuit? Finally, any advice on grounding/earthing would be greatly appreciated - this will be my first foray into electronics since high school 1987. Hope this isn't too many questions! All help and advice gratefully received! Many thanks A.
