"I always admired Rudy's banjos on his Bluestem Banjo Site so I
decided to build one. This banjo is a real lightweight it weighs 2-1/2 pounds.
sounds real good to me I play it more than my HEAVY Alvarez bluegrass special.

"Ok here's the rundown , I built this using the " make do' approach.
The neckand dowel rod are purchased locally , Poplar and maple.
The pot (rim) is a 3" section of 12-3/4 O. D. used PVC pipe from a construction site

My new Banjo
I just completed this banjo. (Pics on my page) I'm learning to play the fretless. It's like what I allready play but I have to be careful where the fingers go because it can be sharp or flat very easily. I like it very much so far.

I just completed this banjo. (Pics on my page) I'm learning to play the fretless. It's like what I allready play but I have to be careful where the fingers go because it can be sharp or flat very easily. I like it very much so far.
