"PJ most do not use any curvature on 3 or 4-stringed fretboards. However if you look at any manufactured instrument coming from a factory you will find some curvature. Finger Barring the last two strings on a 3-stringer on a flat fretboard often is…"

Welcome to the Clubhouse! How did you hear about us?
Playing guitar isn my bucket list. I started by looking for an alternative way to earn a few bucks when I retire. I found luthier sites about building guitars. During my search I stumbled upon the 3-string CBG and researching it brought me to this place.
What instruments are you building or playing?
Built two 3-string CBG's. First was a frankenstien as I cannabolized an old broken guitar the kids had left. When it worked and sounded great thought I'd make one that was "Prettier". Have the box to make a third.
I have some Cherokee ancestry but it was back a few generations and probably not enough to be considered for membership. I am very proud of that heritage and maybe that is why I first started making the flute. I make 5 hole flutes mostly of tree branches or some part of the tree. It has become a passion for me.
Thanks for welcoming me. This looks like a very interesting group.
