Hi-tech electronics from the 40s/50s

"use a diagram for a single pickup with no switch and a tone circuit. Formalist it depends on the resistance of the pickup, but most likely 250k. Tone caps try to get the same value as the cap that is there."

"old capacitors while looking really cool, have a shelf life and get noisey. New ones are quieter and more efficient. Looks like they have the cap grounded back to the bridge instead of back onto the pot. On these lap steels others on the top and…"

"so these old lapsteels have value but not as much all original as much as playable. Consider replacing this with a standard 1/4" jack"

I've been building a CBGm and have been browsing about the web and here i am
What instruments are you building or playing?
my main instrument has been keyboards since I was 8. I won a Yamaha F-410 , then I bought a Strat '69 hollow body 12 years ago
