"Well I just use a flat pick when playing slide. I just find it easier. Try both its your choice. I'm no expert only been playing my three string a few months."

Thumb and Finger Picks = to use, or not to use?

On another Group forum, I posted a question about fretted versus un-fretted and got dozens of responses in just two days.Then I posted the questions below and have gotten COMPLETE silence.  I wonder if I pissed off the group with my mundane basic newbie questions.  Oh well....Anyway, here is my questions:When my fretted 3-string guitar gets here, I plan on playing mostly slide.1. Ok then.....Ted has a great site here. ....for bunches of stuff. ....the links I mentioned are along the right, including Mike's book "Music Factory"..    I think my pictures are still scrolling, and there's two Ls in Halliburton. .................just livin' the dream. An added plus is that flutemakers already own most of the tools necessary.

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments and music. There are lots of helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.
