Making cutting lines on dark wood easy to see

Scribe cutting lines with a cheap steel ruler and a box cutter or X-acto knife. Then rub chalk or baby powder over the lines and wipe excess chalk off.

Happy 4th of July to all the folks in the USA! I'm from Canuck land and I am looking forward to the fireworks on CBS tonight! I sure am glad to have the USA as a neighbour!

I finished making my fiddle last Tuesday. Here are some photos. I used garage band to record myself playing a fiddle and banjo tune. I made the banjo too.

Hi Lapsteel Washboard, welcome to the Handmade Music Clubhouse - Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters (CBG HQ)!

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments and music. There are lots of helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.

Have a look around, introduce yourself in My Name Is... and add yourself to the Member Map. There's an active Chat Room where you can ask questions, offer help or just talk about anything with some great folks.

Most of all Have Fun!
