Morning folks,I have been wondering as most dobros are metal would it be an advantage to fit a resonater cone to a cookie tin as I have an Old Lowes cone and cover plate or would I be just wasting it Mal(UK)See More

"Hi Mal, Nice build!  I was trying w/o much success to make a similar looking sound-box by bending a long length of 5cm by 0.5 cm wood around a 8" diameter drum with a single bend, and later a couple of reverse bends to make the sides…"

oh i forgot to say i used a scale of 24.75 inches on the license plate build with 2 strings and on the 3 string license plate build i used a scale of 25. and i really like the 25. scale

howdy mal--on the license plate build 3 stringer---- i used string guages---.042--.032--.022--- and right under the bridge i embedded a piezo into the neck.hope this helps you.

I read somewhere (long ago) that Lew Dite has a Youtube video that talks about his song book. If you can search youtube using "Lew Dite" and "songbook", then I suspect you'll be able to find the video. I'd check for you, but Youtube is blocked in China.
