I have an Ibanez Mimx 30 amp. For a $100 amp it sounded awesome when it was new . Now it hums a lot . My teen age son used to use the amp a lot and I'm sure he beat on it quite a bit. Is the probable…Continue

Cloud Ukulele

Since this guitar was introduced in the movie "Purple Rain" I thought it was a very cool design. I'm not exactly a big Prince fan but he was unquestionably a talented musician. I guess this uke is more of a tribute to Dave Rusan who was the luthier…

The enamel medallion embedded in the guitar was originally a lapel pin that I got many years ago in Spokane, Wa., for participating in an art exhibition at what was called the Cheney Cowles Museum.   There were a couple of local artists there (Les LePere and Ken Cory) who dubbed themselves the "Pencil Brothers" and they produced the pins.   I knew them both - Ken has since passed away but here's Les's website:   http://pencilfarmstudio.com/

Not a lot of hidden meaning there.  Les likes drawing and painting silly things:  bones, dog tongues, big pencils, etc...   Looks better in the guitar rather than pinned to a shirt.
