"Dirty Rat"

This build will be a dulic-fretted instrument to be given to the cigar shop owner that generously gives me cigar boxes....for FREE!  This box (The Dirty Rat) upon investigation is a box that contained 12 cigars...not many of them were made.  It is a 12-cigar presentation box....and is very special to the cigar shop owner.  He is going to hang it on the wall in the cigar shop.  The dirty rat box is the one in the middle of this picture....rather small in size, therefore, better suited for a… Continue

Workshop Addiction? ...Check!

In a rare move, I had to make an early Saturday appointment. It's important, and even though it involves a little travel time, I made it for as early as possible.

I believe they are maple. And the box is the perfect size for the plate. The idea is to route out a quarter inch for the… Continue

Hello to all, I just saw the coolest thing! Breedlove Guitars has a great vacation where they have perspective buyers out to their facility. They wine & dine You, give Ya the factory tour, let You aid in the design & build of Your acoustic and then give You a Porshe to go cruising through the wine country. All of  this for around I believe $10k for the weekend.

Now for those of You like Myself who although this sounds like a perfect weekend would better be able to quench their…

Living in the southeast now for nearly 20 years, snow has become more an event than an occurrence. I used to grab my shovel, a broom,…
