It all started on Thursday night.
I'd corralled a couple of friends into coming to see Hillstomp, from Portland OR. Those boys flat out kill it! Henry playing the banjo, guitars and cigar box guitar, John playing the "drum" set (which is cobbled together from old radiator parts, plastic buckets, maybe a legit drum or two, and a shitload of duct tape).

I had a block of black walnut all glued up from more than a year ago when I tried the first fiddle. Armed with that experience, some time to contemplate and a really cool box I've been saving, we begin. All the parts were at hand and the tape measure was there, and next thing I new I'd sketched out a template for the neck, with a super-simplified scroll. Today I started on a commission build- A solid body Bouzouki.
The body is African Mahogany, Quilted Maple top, African Mahogany neck, Rosewood fretboard.
Today I got the body joined, and the neck cut out. I'll have more pictures very soon!
