Just a little under two weeks ago I was still working on completing my first stringed instrument, a Grizzly ukulele kit, and I starting thinking, what next? Came up with an idea, sketched it out, decided to build a quickie prototype first.
The "Uke Onna Stick" will be a solid-"body" electric soprano ukulele. "Body" in quotes because there won't be much of a body... just basically an elongated neck.

Since 1994 I have been building musical instruments in a workshop in Utrecht. At the end of july my teacher is going to retire. That means that my balalaika has to be finished by then. I think I will make it. Just have to buy some polyurethane lacker to protect the body. Today I have put the whole body in linseed oil. Haven't taken any new pictures. It looks great
