UPDATE: Sliced the Osage orange to make 2 fretboards. I got inspired and trimmed the box down to a vee type shape. The entire box was disassembled, cut and reglued. The rough neck/fretboard is made. The headstock has a similar shape as the box.

I ended the day by making the neck braces for inside the box and adding gold screws around the perimeter to hold the box closed. You can see the great grain of the maple neck which will be hidden by the osage fretboard.

Pickups are also wound, just waiting for a break in the weather to wire it all up and final assembly.

Drilled for the pots and switches plus thinned the inside of the wall so they can be mounted
