Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

I was shopping at the local Guitar store today and thought about buying a new guitar stand.

then I thought "hey, I can make one".

so I went into my garage and sorted thru the wood pile and came up with this.

2 pieces of 1x2. cut to 12 inches for the feet

Two pieces of 2x2 for the frame and two pieces of 1x2.. 12 inches acrossassembled with a piece of 2x2 at the bottom for support and to keep the guitar from sliding out of the stand.

Then I decided to add some felt where the guitar would be touching the stand.

I used two pieces of 1x2 cut to 3 1/2 inches on both sides of the guitar head/neck, and a piece of felt across the back support.

then I added some felt to the bottom piece of 2x2 for extra padding where the guitar would be resting on its bottom.

The finished product  ( I will be doing some mods/cleanup  as I start sanding and adding felt and stain) ..etc etc...
