Thanks Ted. Yes sorry I abandoned you. Had so much sh*t to deal with over last few years and this just went right on the backburner. Nice to know you guys are still around though. Maybe I should start dropping in here again. I haven't built any cbgs for a few years, too many people into it now and no demand for mine. Got other interests too which are taking up my creative time.
Hi Ted thanks for the request. I am in the uk, near Coventry, i am 67 yrs young, and have been playing since i was 11.
Hoping to get the hang of it soon, i play mainly blues,i,m retired now so im setting up to build some cbg,s to keep me occupied. Although I am a bit slow as i only have one good hand, at the moment, and its not the one i normally use lol.
I had a major op on my cervical spine at the back end of last year, and unfortunately it left me with the thumb and 2 fingers of my right hand totally numb.
So haven,t been able to play but im gonna try to tape a thumb pick to my hand until i can hopefully get it sorted out.
I am on my first build,a 3 string cigarbox with an oak neck, which i am finding it tough to work with. i sorted out a router and table, but its a steep learning curve, it snatched a few times, i now know about the direction lol, ive got loads of tools but never used a router before. Ive ordered a router trimmer which i hope will be easier for me.
